Hitting Instructor, Darryl Kennedy

Darryl Kennedy enters his second year as the KC Royals Rookie Ball manager (Surprise Royals) after stints with the Burlington Royals, Idaho Falls Chukars & Wilmington Blue Rocks (A Ball). He worked as a manager with class AA Frisco in the Rangers organization in 2005 & 2006. Kennedy caught for seven seasons in the minors with the Rangers & Giants from 1991-1997. His managing resume includes seven playoff appearances, four league championships and four manager of the year honors. He was a 37th-round pick by the Rangers in 1991 out of the University of North Florida, where he earned All-America honors. He also attended and played baseball at Manatee Community College.
